1) HR interview to know my interset and my relative experience 2) Three technical interviews 3) I had to present a demo about recorded future platform 4) Three other interview to know me better and if I am suitable for the role.

At first the process went smoothly and I had 4 interviews in just 2 weeks. - First one was with HR, - Second was with the manager, we had a chat to get to know each other. He was a really polite and professional person. - Third one was technical with the manager and also with another technical person. We had an hour long session about different cyber security and threat intelligence topics. Again this session was really nice. - The last one was with upper management and he was a really clear person and we had a productive session. They said that the last step was a case about the product itself. I was waiting for the case and after one week I emailed the HR when will I get the case and he replied to me that they went with another candidate. I was very disappointed because I had no idea that my process was over and I learnt this when I asked about it. The problem they say was they need someone based in UAE. But I said in the very beginning that it would be really hard for me and the last person I talked with told me that it appears you can stay where you are as long as you handle your own country's taxes. Having this information and being told that they need someone in UAE was really confusing. To my understanding it was the fault of HR, he was not very clear about the next steps and also gave very little information about the process. I needed to ask about the interview duration and the context. He just set up the time slot for the meetings. It was really a good interview process at the beginning but ended in a very disappointing way.
