I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Regulatory DataCorp (RDC) in Oct 2014
Interview
Three hour interview that starts with the director of software development, two leads and the director of HR. The talks ranged all over my experiences on my resume. There was one brief coding quiz that was done on paper. The rest turned on technical experiences that ran from programming to systems administration. The questions were not hard at all and the interviewers seemed pretty easy going. They get thrown when your experience of a particular bit of software does not align with theirs.
The HR person will ask questions about salary expectation, which i thought was rather rude since this was through a recruiter. I had already told the recruiter what I expected and they acted like this was a big surprise. I got the sense that I was priced well outside their desired salary range, so I'm not sure why I was asked for a face to face.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
the tech question ask is given a list "Item 1, Item 2, Item 3, Item 4, Item 5" write some pseudo code that will output the list as "item5, item 4, item 3, item 2, item 1". once you provide a simple solution they will ask if you see any potential problem with your solution, which for a five item list isn't much of an issue but for a 1 million item list might become a problem. be prepared to identify such problems and propose solutions.
