I was reached out via LinkedIn to see if I was interested, and then HR screened via video chat asking some filtering questions such as citizenship, compensation, and hybrid schedules. This was followed by and scheduled with video chat with Hiring Manager.
Funny thing was I had to meet between 2 and 3 weeks out to speak to the hiring manager. Thought it was a bit long, but humored them. I received e-mail reminders as I got closer to the day of the interview.
Then, the day of the interview (8/20/24), I get an e-mail notice within 2 hours prior of the interview that hiring for the position was put on hold.
I think it was bad enough the compensation was sub-par for the level of the position, but to go to all of that trouble only to make the interview not happen is so ridiculously discourteous.
It sounds like RingCentral used to be a great place to work and apply for...3 or so years ago. Now? If you're in finance, don't waste your time. It's not decently paying, and they ask you to come to office just enough times they can claim using a "hybrid" model, when you really have to come into the office 5-days a week most of the time.
