Was contacted through LinkedIn by a corporate recruiter. This is the same position that I had previously been interviewed for (by another recruiter) around six months prior. This recruiter told me that this was a brand new position, so immediately I thought there might be something fishy here. I had three phone screenings over the course of three weeks that ended with me being passed over for "a different type of candidate" with no specifics being given. The entire questioning felt as if the recruiter was conducting corporate espionage. They didn't even understand their business and kept asking me the same questions over and over again. The recruiter was asking many detailed questions about my former companies' structures, processes and strategic planning. While I tried to be as candid as I could, I couldn't help but notice that they never intended on putting me forward to speak with a hiring manager. They just wanted to get as much information as they could out of me. Riot! Games needs to get their collective acts together and hire professionals to help grow their in-house merchandise business instead of spying on other companies, trying to steal their ideas and structure, and hiring only those that have already drunk the Riot! Kool-Aid. You need to be a League of Legends fan and player, or they won't even talk to you. This company is a complete waste of time.
