This was a very thorough process -I started in mid October and was officially rejected in early December.
Round #1: 60 minute phone screen with the recruiter in October - this was fairly straightforward and covered most logistics for the role (e.g. work culture, salary - was told budgeted amount was 95-120k, relocation as I was out of state, etc.)
Round #2: 60 minute interview with the Manager of the team the role would be on - this went pretty well! They were very kind, knowledgeable about the work culture and core responsibility of the role.
Round #3: 60 minute call with the Director of the team - this was touching on more of the high-level aspects of the role and drilling into my specific work experience.
Round #4: 4 hours (split over two days) - this was the onsite interview portion with various Rioters. This was done remotely as I'm out of state and I had a great time getting to know all of my panelists and they all really embodied the work culture/commitment to DEI. There was also a sync up prior to this -essentially a prep meeting with the recruiter.
I followed up the next week after my final onsite interview to ask my recruiter about next steps. They let me know that the team had synced and asked for my availability to chat. We connected the same day and I was rejected via the phone - I was told that the team wanted to go with other candidates who had more experience and that there was no feedback that could be provided. I was definitely bummed but understood the team's decision. The recruiter did let me know that I would be contacted first should any similar roles come up as I received high praise from all of the panelists/interviewers.
