      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Riot Games (Santa Monica, CA) in May 2014

      Interview

Horrible experience with my entire interview process. For an entry level coordinator position (that was of a lower title than my previous company), I went through an 8 hour process of interviewing people from all over the company. Several of the people who I interviewed with didn't know that I was applying for, and ask questions that were not at all involved with the position. My experience with interviewing with Riot was one of the first I have ever had, so be wary. If you are not obsessed with League and cannot change to their way of thinking, you may want to avoid working in this factory of sheep.

Hey, thanks for taking the time to write this review. We’re actively working on building the best interview experience possible, and we know we have plenty of room for improvement. It sounds like you felt the interviewers were unsure of the exact position you were interviewing for and asked some less-than-relevant questions. That sounds pretty crappy, and it’s something we hope we’ve fixed since your interview. You also mentioned the length of the interview. When interviewing for any position, we create a panel of Rioters from various disciplines around the company. For TCs, this usually includes engineers, dev managers, product managers, current TCs, and others depending on your career aspirations. We intentionally ask a broad range of questions to get an idea of not only what you’ve got on your resume, but also how you think and react to ambiguous problems. Because of this, our interviews have a reputation for being long and strenuous. We think it’s important to dig into as many areas as possible to make sure you’re a fit for Riot AND Riot is a fit for you. It sounds like you’ve got some valuable feedback, and if you’re comfortable, I would love to dig into your experience further. Please feel free to email me at skrick@riotgames.com and I’d be happy to talk. Thanks, Sean Krick

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Riot Games (Santa Monica, CA) in May 2015

      Interview

I submitted my resume, and was contacted for an initial interview. The first interview was with two current Technical Coordinators who gave me a better idea of the job requirements, and questioned me about my previous work experiences. This was followed up with a second interview conducted by the manager I would have been working for. The second interview was more technical. Ultimately I was not hired, but one of the Technical Coordinators I spoke with called me back to give me feedback on what I can change to improve in the future. The whole process took two weeks.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Riot Games in Aug 2013

      Interview

Applied online through the Riot Games website. After a few weeks, received a request to complete an online assessment. This assessment consisted of three types of IQ test type questions and was timed. After some time, I was contacted by another tech. coordinator to schedule a phone screen with two other tech. coordinators. The phone screen was conducted casually. They first asked me to take them through my resume and cover letter hitting the highlights. They then asked about my experiences. Finally, they asked a few situations questions. A few days after the interview I was contacted by the first tech. coordinator informing me that Riot would not continue with my application. I followed up to inquire about their motivations in this decision, but they declined to offer that information. I'm disappointed that I won't get to work at this company, but it was still a good learning experience.
