I had been interested in applying to Rise for a while. When Carrie put out a poll on her Instagram to say they were hiring I voted to say I was interested in a role, and she DM'd me later that night. I was SO excited, at this point Rise was the best in the industry. I sent my CV in to the email address sent over. I had 2 interviews, the first was about my experience (which was none, but very much welcomed), what I knew about Rise and my campaign knowledge. It went well and I was invited for a second interview to present a task which was an outreach template and to talk through how I would go about getting a journalists contact etc. This had a very short turn around, I think from memory the 2nd interview was the next day. I spend all evening on the task. I didn't end up getting an offer, they said that they went with someone with more experience in the end that could hit the ground running. Seems like a bull response considering how much they encouraged people with no experience to apply. I did have to chase/ follow up as I initially got no response after the 2nd interview. Although the response did include feedback. Looks like I dodged a HUGE bullet, so now looking back I'm glad I didn't get the role.
