I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Rivian (San Jose, CA)
Interview
Started off with "lets have a conversation and not just a question/answer interview". They take that approach to gauge your personality. I feel like I knocked it out of the park with everyone except their Sr. Sourcer who was more interested in asking about how I source when I was interviewing for a recruiter position and not a sourcer position, she had no interest in getting to know who I was as a person or the experience I brought to the table.
Overall, the team of recruiters are great and would love to be apart of them, but it sounded like a crazy environment with no processes established in regards to hiring talent. Hopefully their new VP of Talent will get the recruiting team inline.

Tell me about yourself and why you want to work for Rivian?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Rivian in Dec 2024
Interview
Phone interview - I had a really good candidate experience. The recruiter who interviewed me is an absolute star, asking all the right questions and being very thoughtful with her approach. Although I didn't proceed to further stages, I wish nothing but the best to the team.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Rivian in Aug 2021
Interview
There was a 2 Step interview process. 1 Hiring Manager call 1 onsite with 4 interviewers all separate not a panel. The process was fairly quick. The hiring manager was pretty good about helping me through the process and answering any questions

Question 1
What diversity initiatives have you created and how have you focused on DE&I sourcing in the past?
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Rivian (Irvine, CA)
Interview
The Recruiting leader reached out to me about an opportunity. Went through 3 rounds of interviews and then was told they aren't moving forward with me because I don't have specific experience within that field. They knew that going in and yet still continued to waste my time and theirs.
Overall I had good a experience with everyone I met and would have loved to have worked for the company.
My recommendation is if you are looking for someone with specific experience then don't reach out to people that don't have that. Seems like common sense to me.
