Didn't believe the reviews i read here, but everything is tooootally true.
The company is good with probably a great work environment but the recruiters, and recruiting process is absolutely horrible and disorganized.
The first call with technical recruiter, he called a couple of hours after the scheduled time and immediately said he wants to reschedule because he was in a company event. Not sure why he couldn't inform that beforehand or why his calendar said he was available during that time. He could have just shot an email before making me wait for 2 hours.
He called back late again after rescheduling and this time he was on interrogation mode instead of interview mode. kept asking why a particular employee recommended me for this role, how I knew the person who referred me, how long I knew them. and this lasted for about 5 minutes.
He then moved on to the next question and asked me why I was interested in the company and this particular role. And I am pretty confident he didn't listen to a word I said.
It was very clear that he didn't look at my resume or my application or my profile as he didn't know my name or anything about my background. Kept on saying "let me find this on your resume" as if he was browsing through a 100pg document.
I was very excited about Rivian but this ruined my interest and I feel it is not even worth filling out their application if these are the type of recruiters I have to deal with.
