I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Roku (Austin, TX) in Sept 2015
Interview
I applied online at roku.com. It took Roku about two months to call me after I submitted my application, but once they called me back, everything went really fast. I had a phone screen with the recruiter one day and a phone screen with an engineer the next day. Within a couple of days from the first phone call, I was at the Roku office for an onsite interview. The entire interview took about three hours. I interviewed with the QA Team Leader and other members of the QA team. I also interviewed with a Senior Software Engineer.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me about my skills and experience. They also asked me about how I would test various products and features. It was pretty much the kinds of questions I would expect for a QA position. They also gave me a short IQ test that was kind of fun.
I applied through other source. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Roku in Mar 2022
Interview
Very good interview Process.
Offer letter was rolled out but they didn't provided the VISA. Waited for 2 months and still waiting !!
My question is why they want to interview and roll the offer letter when they knew VISA wont get approved ??
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Roku (Austin, TX) in Jul 2021
Interview
I got a call from the recruiter saying that i was a good fit for the role. He asked me to give an online assessment test. He was not very forthcoming about the role or other questions I had. After the test i emailed the recruiter but did not hear back for more than 10 days. After that i get an email saying they want a video interview and asked for my availability. i filled the availability for the next 6 business days. No communication again till a day before they schedule the interview. They had to reschedule the interview due to some conflict on their end. In the meantime i accepted another offer and let the recruiter know to cancel the interview as a professional courtesy, no communication back. I find out the interview was cancelled when i tried to log into the meeting to let the hiring manager know as i had not heard back from the recruiter. Its really unprofessional the way they are communicating with the candidates.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Roku (Los Gatos, CA) in Feb 2020
Interview
The whole process took around one month and it was good experience.
I applied through a referral for the position. The standards steps are:
1. Initial phone call with the Recruiting team
2. Phone Screen with Hiring Manager
3. On-site interview with HM and the team
The unique experience I had was interacting with Recruiting team and how much time they invest in explaining about the Roku culture and providing you with ample amount of information shared (this is certainly I did not expect or experience). Phone and On-site interview experience good and I left with a feeling that the team is a very dedicated individuals and the questions asked were very relevant to the position being interviewed.
