Application
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Roofr (Toronto, ON) in Mar 2026
Interview
Made it seem as though it was a sure thing, heard comments alluding to "when I joined the team" and told me they had gone another way. To this date the role is still open and when I asked for feedback it was vague
The interview was posed as up to 4 separate 1 hour calls with different people in the organization and included a session to role play as an onboarding specialist. Given my experience doing the role in the past I was very comfortable with this but thought it was overkill for anyone else that hasn't worked in this niche industry before. I felt like the recruiter was more interested in getting a competitive insight about my past employer than my actual qualifications given the focus of the questions. I felt the pay was too high to be a valid number and just incentive to attend more interviews and disclose more competitor insights.

Question 1
What was your impact at "competitor" during your employment.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Roofr in Jul 2022
Interview
There were three interviews through the entire process, and each one was pretty straightforward. There were two more skill-based, technical interviews sandwiching a 'culture fit' interview, which was a nice change of pace, and helped make the interviewing process more comfortable! Everyone was super friendly, but the questions still challenged you, which was a nice balance as well.
