Screening call for about 10 mins, then invited to give availability for an interview and given a task to complete. It took a month to hear back with the interview date. I worked really heard on the task and presented it in the interview. I was given constructive feedback a couple of weeks later but the whole tone around the hiring process for the academy was very misleading. There was a heavy emphasis on "we don't mind if you don't have much experience or are switching careers" but that was ultimately just a PR exercise in my opinion. What they wanted was people who had lots of experience, as much as possible. There was a real sense that I had wasted a lot of time and hope based on the impression they gave. I don't mind if companies want experienced people, that's understandable, the issue I have is the false image they presented. Saying that, it was good to get experience of an interview. It was just very fake.
