I met with the hiring manager! She seemed like a kind person who is generally invested in the mission of the organization. I found the questions to be the standard questions that would be asked for a development role like this one except for one difference - she emphasized that Safe Horizon is an organization that priorities DEI, and has a specified department addressing this and has for multiple years, long before it became a part of corporate culture nationwide.

What do you know about "white saviorism," and how do you think this impacts the philanthropic space?
It was two rounds of interviews. One with two managers of other precincts then the other with the director of the program. As long as you have a degree and customer service experience you should be good

Interview
Very well coordinated, interviewer was present during call and asked engaging questions. I appreciated that versus the generic, cookie cutter questions that make me question the effort being put into preparing for interviews by recruiters.
