The interview felt rushed and dismissive. The hiring manager showed limited engagement, asked overly basic questions for a mid/senior-level role, and ended the interview much earlier than scheduled. A rejection was sent almost immediately afterward, giving the impression that the decision had already been made before the interview.
Overall, the experience did not reflect a respectful or well-structured hiring process.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Sail Biomedicines (Cambridge, MA) in Sept 2024
Interview
Pretty typical, except that they moved faster than most interviews I've had. Started with 1st round zoom call with the hiring manager, then 2nd round zoom call with a team member, followed by an in-person interview, and then they called my references. The in-person interview was pretty typical as well. I presented my data and explained why I was a good fit for the position for about 45 minutes, followed by 15 minutes or so of questions.
