I had a multi-round interview process that was positive and engaging up until the final stage. However, the last interview with the team referred to as the 'prime' was a noticeably different experience. The panel appeared disengaged from the outset, before I had the opportunity to speak. The interview lasted only 25 minutes, which felt unusually short for a final round, and there was little to no time allotted for questions due to a hard stop. The experience became uncomfortable, as it felt like decisions may have already been made prior to fully exploring my background. Additionally, the discussion did not fully align with the responsibilities outlined in the job description. I was also asked to speak in depth about a specific tool that was not listed on my resume, despite it appearing to be a key requirement, which made the process feel inconsistent. The interview itself was very rigid, with rapid-fire questioning and minimal interaction. There were also noticeable distractions during the call, including background typing and message alerts, which made the experience feel less professional. Overall, the lack of engagement, misalignment, and interview structure raised concerns about the overall candidate experience.
