I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Samsara (San Francisco, CA) in May 2021
Interview
I had an interview with Human Resources, then an interview with Marketing. I was asked to complete a homework assignment, for which I wrote five pages of content, including an original blog post on a requested topic.
After this, I was told that the company wished to proceed and I was asked for my availability to come into HQ to continue discussions in person with the team.
What was unprecedented in my career was that after this I was completely ghosted by the people I had spoken with. I received no response to my emails nor did I get any explanation why the company stopped communicating with me after being told the company wanted to proceed.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Samsara (San Francisco, CA) in May 2024
Interview
Very disappointed in the overall interview process. They put me through five (5) 30-minute interview sessions, one (1) 45-minute interview question, and also required a homework assignment that they state should take no more than 1 hour, but it took up the better part of an entire weekend to meet expectations. I honestly didn't mind any of that, and I worked really hard to prepare for each and every interview session. What greatly disappointed me was, after undergoing this entire process, I was turned down, and upon respectfully asking for feedback, I was ignored. For a company to require so much from a candidate but to not at least reply to a simple and respectful email requesting feedback is unacceptable. In that moment, the company lost all my respect, and I hope they take this to heart and strengthen their respect for candidates who take so much time out of their busy lives to apply to the company.
