I applied online. I interviewed at Sandia National Laboratories (Albuquerque, NM) in Jun 2017
Interview
I was contacted by the hiring manager via telephone and we talked for a little while about my background and interest in Sandia. We discussed my resume and then they asked me if I wanted to visit Albuquerque to interview and I accepted. I was flown out and met with multiple different people who all interviewed me for about 45 mins to an hour. The day was long, but everyone was extremely nice. The security was definitely intense.

Question 1
Name a time you had a problem working with someone, what did you do and what was the result?
Interview was with the hiring, level-one manager and a few of the engineers in the group. Everyone was very friendly. The primary requirement of the interview was to present a few slides on a project I worked on the past, the methodologies used, and the final results. Questions were then centered around the presentation, segueing into my professional experience as a whole.

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Sandia National Laboratories in Feb 2022
Interview
The first part of the interview process was a screening call with a recruiter. After passing that, the formal interview was broken up into two back to back interviews. The first was with with four non managerial, senior level engineers and took 60 minutes. This was less technical and was more about gauging my overall fit. The second was with three managers. This also took 60 minutes including a 10 minute technical presentation. Most technical questions asked were geared towards this presentation, with the remaining questions being primarily behavioral.

Most of the questions focused on my relevant experience and/or personality-based questions. They requested I use the STAR format to respond to the questions.
