I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Scotiabank (Toronto, ON) in Sept 2015
Interview
The first interview was via telephone and the follow up online. The interview panel really made me comfortable it was all about what skills and experience they needed and how I would be able to fulfill those needs. The interview kicked off by the panelists explaining their current needs and outlining the details of the job. They went over my resume and asked questions about some of the details and experiences outlined in my resume (be able to articulate what is on your resume with real examples to backup). Demonstrate your leadership skills and outline why you would be an asset to the organization.

Question 1
Tell us about some of your experiences on projects in your current role.
Really friendly call with someone from HR. Nothing too complex but they have a keen interest on key accomplishments and team work. They will get back to you with an update making you feel optimistic, but then a generic decline letter is provided several weeks later.

Question 1
What was your typical work load and how did you find it (challenging, rewarding etc).
The entire procedure is remarkably swift, taking a mere two weeks from the initial stage all the way to the final completion. You can expect a rapid turnaround, where every step in the process unfolds efficiently and effectively within this short timeframe
Interviewer was kind, asked some tough questions, but I think he had a specific candidate in mind. The issue was more that he specifically said, "We don't like to leave candidates hanging, so you'll hear from us soon."
That's fine - but HR never followed up, and despite my reaching out, twice, to the personal email of the HR professional managing this, she never responded. Just very unprofessional - people commit time and energy to interviews. If it's a no, you should communicate that.
