I applied through university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Scotiabank (Toronto, ON) in Oct 2024
Interview
The interview process for Scotiabank is quite different. You have multiple coffee chats with the recruiters, each time the number of people in the coffee chat group gets smaller and smaller. However, those can also be counted as interview since you are answering to questions and presenting your skill set and attitude some type of way.
Because I applied to Canadian Banking, I only had one round of hiring manager interview

Question 1
Can you tell me about a time where you were not able to deliver a project on time?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Scotiabank
Interview
Pretty straightforward. Interviewers were very nice and questions were mostly behavioural. Technical questions were not overly complex, and tested thought process and ability to think on the spot more than heavy technical knowledge.
The first round was Group coffee chat. It is in a group of 10-12 people. It is virtual. It is semi-formal round just to introduce each other and expalining the further rounds and how internship works in the company.
