I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Sears
Interview
Pretty long process. But shorter for me since it was an internal promotion. But first you apply on sears or Kmart.com then it would take hr about 2 weeks to review your application. They will then invite you to take a Hogan assessments if you pass...you will be called in for an interview with a district manager.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Sears (Coeur d'Alene, ID) in Mar 2015
Interview
Straight forward and, basically, the same as other interview processes with similar companies for this type of position. The questions were multi-faceted and required more of a scenario type of answer. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Question 1
If I were to ask your former manager what your strengths and weaknesses are, what would they tell me?
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Sears
Interview
Filled out the application on line. 2 days later got a 45 minute assessment that had to be filled out. 1 week later I received an email confirmation that they were interested in me. 1 week later I received a call from the Store Manager for an interview. 2 weeks later I had a phone interview with the District Manger. He presented an alternative option to the original position that I interviewed for. Another Store Manager called to offer me the job and salary. I turned it down. I heard back from the District Manager several times before I accepted the job. He did get closer to what I was wanting as my salary requirement. I should have stayed with my previous job because promises were made that never came close to what was agreed upon in taking the job.

None of them were. If you have been in any kind of Retail Management position, you are familiar with all the scenario's that they throw at you.
