[Remote job] Don’t expect a “blitz interview” or “get a job in 3 clicks” type of ideas. The entire Interview process is divided into 5 blocks: First encounter 10-30 min This stage implies a call from our recruiter. Here we discuss general questions about the company, the job you are applying for, as well as your work experience in more detail. At this stage, we also discuss a test task, if provided. Technical interview 60-90 min At this stage, you will talk with our tech experts. Their questions will relate to your knowledge and experience. At the end of the interview, you will have space to ask your questions. Team interview 60-90 min At this stage, you will finally meet your future team and colleagues. They will be asking about your approach to work. Also, it is the best time to tell them more about yourself. Finally, you can learn all the details about projects and processes, so that you have a more accurate understanding of what you will be dealing with in this role. Offer This is probably the most pleasant stage. If everything goes well, you'll get a job offer from Semrush. And then, it is up to you to decide 😉 On average, it takes three to five days for a candidate to move from one stage to another. Onboarding At Semrush, Onboarding doesn’t end on Day 1. From the very first moment, your HR will take good care of you. You receive a comprehensive Onboarding checklist for the first months that ensures that you will get every piece of information and support you might need for your work. Your team leader or an assigned mentor will be there to help you make your onboarding at Semrush as smooth as possible.
- Past experience, product-management-related questions, and team-management-related questions.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Semrush
Initially, the HR manager reached out to me and suggested having a call. The call lasted about 30 minutes, during which they provided information about the process and the company. Afterward, they requested the contacts of my supervisors for references. Following that, I had a meeting with the hiring manager and another HR specialist.

After I applied online, they contacted me to select a date to interview the HR. The HR interview took 30 minutes. They ask you a lot of questions about your past experience, and typical HR interview questions. But mostly it was like a small tech interview. Although HR doesn't have any tech experience, they asked some technical questions and wrote my answers for the Hiring Team. IMHO, believe this is not helpful at this stage. Because you are talking about some technical details with no tech-person. Overall, the process was smooth, fast, and transparent.
- What are your salary expectations?
- Why Semrush? What are you looking for in your next job?
- Technical questions related to SRE, backend, etc.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Semrush (Limassol, Limassol) in Nov 2023
The interview process went quite smoothly and to the point. There were tiny gaps between the interviews. I even received feedback after the rejection after the final interview. It was handy. The interviewers seem competent.
- Questions about Python, computer architecture, networks, reliability, availability, and some path of the carrier questions.

The role is for their new enterprise level solution, which was just beta launched but not yet live. They are hiring for enterprise reps to upsell existing accounts and hunt new enterprise logos. Frustrating at times as they can't identify specifically what the enterprise customer is going to look like, or share projected quotas and other important sales metrics. At the same time, they expect that information from you. Pay is below market rate for enterprise reps. Probably a better opportunity for mid market reps to make first foray into enterprise sales (but why not just promote your internal sales team then?)
- Various questions about background, previous wins, experience, and practicality.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Semrush in Oct 2023
I submitted my application online and received a response from HR several days later, which was brimming with enthusiasm, stating that my application had truly brightened their day. During our conversation, they provided a wealth of information about the company. Surprisingly, they didn't inquire about my background, experience, or the typical introductory questions. Instead, the discussion revolved around practical matters like my preferred location and salary expectations. Following this call, they assured me of a response within three days. However, the promised response never arrived. After three days passed, I decided to send a follow-up message, to which they responded by explaining that the technical interview had been delayed due to a shortage of technical specialists. One more week elapsed, prompting me to send another follow-up message with the same outcome – the same explanation for the delay. The process left me somewhat disillusioned, and the final blow came when I received a rejection message. This occurred after a total wait of three weeks from the initial call, despite two prior assurances of a forthcoming technical interview. The entire experience was disheartening, especially given that the company's hiring process, as outlined on their website, promised a response within 3-4 days. The glaring disparity between their words and actions was quite disappointing.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Semrush in Oct 2023
My experience with the Semrush team was going really well until things went silent. Following my second interview with the hiring manager, I was enthusiastically informed, "I want you to meet with my program manager, then do a little project plan and email exercise, and then it's the offer!" Given the urgency in their decision-making, I was puzzled when several days went by without any updates. After reaching out to the recruiter to express my availability for a meeting with the program manager, I received the disappointing news that they had chosen another candidate. I expressed my gratitude for the update and kindly requested feedback, particularly in light of my last conversation with the hiring manager. Unfortunately, I received no response. This experience was disheartening. My feedback to the Semrush team is this: please refrain from giving candidates false hope, only to subsequently go silent. The job-seeking journey is challenging enough without being led on and then left in the dark. Moreover, this not only reflects poorly on individuals, but also tarnishes the company's integrity and reputation. If a change of heart occurred after the second interview, that's understandable, but a little empathy, an apology for any misleading messages, and honesty would have left a far better impression. Needless to say, I won't be following their career page as suggested. I'll find solace in knowing I won't be investing my time, passion, and effort in a manager, team, and company that doesn't meet the integrity standards I value.

I was contacted by a HR rep for a PO position, I had an interview after 3 days from the first contact and I have never heard since. I sent a couple of follow up mails but no answer.
- Tell me about your work background?

I recently had an interview that included conversations with both the HR representative and the hiring manager. The overall experience felt somewhat routine, giving me the impression that the interview might have been a formality, possibly due to the presence of an internal candidate already in consideration. Subsequently, I received a prompt response the following day, informing me that they would not be proceeding with my application. While I fully understand and respect their decision, I did note a lack of specific feedback regarding my interview performance. Despite having requested this feedback, it was unfortunately not provided.
- What is strategy for IT procurement category. How would your teammates call you etc. Very generic and no deep dive into things that are important for the position.
