I had a disappointing experience with the interview process at Sensiple. Initially, the HR mentioned that my profile was suitable and moved me forward to the technical round. I atteded the technical round and submitted the assignment . After 2 days I made a followup with HR , he told that mine was shortlisted . However, later in the process, I was informed that they were only looking for immediate joiners due to my 2-month notice period.
What was confusing is that my notice period was already clearly mentioned earlierin the HR round, yet I was still shortlisted and progressed. When I mentioned I could try to negotiate my notice period, I was asked to provide an official confirmation email from my current employer stating I could be relieved within 30 days — this too without even receiving an offer letter.
Expecting such commitments from candidates without a formal offer is unreasonable. This approach not only wastes candidates’ time but also creates unnecessary stress and confusion.
I would suggest the hiring team align internally on requirements like notice period before shortlisting candidates, and ensure transparent communication throughout the process.
Advice to Management:
Respect candidates’ time and set clear expectations upfront, especially regarding notice period and joining timelines.
