      Senior Java/J2EE Developer Interview

      30 Dec 2014
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at SiriusXM in Sept 2014

      Interview

Initial communication was through a recruiter who essentially set up a phone interview. I had a phone interview with the hiring manager and a few of his direct reports (apparently also developers). The questions were difficult and detailed for just a phone interview. Found the detail was extremely difficult to know what they were looking for however they stressed core Java skills especially. They also were very heavily interested in scalable, and concurrent development.

      Question 1

I'd classify this as the most bizarre and unexpected question which was what are the four tenets of object oriented programming.
