I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Skanska in Nov 2023
Interview
The recruitment process stretched across 4 stages: 1. Online tests (Numerical & Verbal) 2. Video Interview (4 questions) 3. A/C 4. Final Interview. All in all, very well communicated and smooth process
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Video Interview questions mainly about values (why Skanska, why the role, short-term/long-term plans, motivational)
A/C was spread into parts: individual interview and group exercise where you are split into groups to solve a problem and give a presentation of the solution to the assessors. The group work was around contributing back to society and helping to set up a group to achieve that. Individual interview consisted of again Skanska values and scenario-based questions alongside a short presentation on a recent topic (e,g, technology/AI in construction, challenges you expect when entering the job)
Final interview was mainly scenario based questions (e.g. explaining complex info on site) and some site work-based scenario testing technical aptitude depending on the specialty applied.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Skanska (New York, NY)
Interview
Direct and straightforward, it was a friendly space and there was no pressure. It just needed the applicant to be open minded and free to respond to the questions as regards construction
Found the job listing on Indeed. I then attended an online interview that was very standard. After passing the online interview I was invited to attend an assessment centre with a group assignment and an interview after.
The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Skanska (Birmingham, England)
Interview
1. Apply on their company website
2. Do online exam.
3. Do video interview
4. Do assessement day
As far as the assessement day goes its super layed back and they make you feel very welcome. With casual activitys as icebreakers, group activity (assessed) and finally the private interview.
