I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SkyWest Airlines (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
First part of the process is that the recruiters tell you a bit about SkyWest, what to expect, etc. There was a long Q&A session afterwards. Then each person had to go up to the front of the room and present in 60 seconds why they would make a great flight attendant. I talked about my previous jobs and the responsibilities I had that I thought would translate well into a flight attendant career. Speak loudly and clearly, but smile and be friendly! All I did in preparation for the interview was practice that 60 second speech about thirty times on the drive to the interview and I can tell it made a HUGE difference because most people were really nervous and choked, or just didn't know what to say, or both. Then everyone had to leave the room for 45 minutes while waiting for the recruiters to put the list up. I learned a lot just from talking to the other candidates there during the break. You meet some interesting folks during the process! Only six people were chosen for the 1 on 1, and truthfully that part I was just winging it... But mostly, I tried to present myself as a hardworking, firm (when necessary), gracious, and warm person. I got an email a little over a week later telling me that I got the job! Yay!
It was a virtual one on one and after this process they alerted me of my training date a week later. The process was so pretty seemless and the company is good to work for but any little mistake you make you can be out.
The interview process was quick and easy. The recruiters were nice and answered all of my questions. They explained how the benefits worked and were very knowledgeable and the company.
I applied online. I interviewed at SkyWest Airlines (Atlanta, GA) in May 2026
Interview
Most of the interview involved picking apart my previous work experience. Asked a few basic questions, they are just looking for a certain look. It’s obvious. My look did not fit the part
