Interview
I submitted an application through SOLAA, which is the Smithsonian's online application management site. The application asked for two recs, a resume, and a cover letter. I got an email about a week later scheduling a phone interview; we then had a phone interview. The interview was pretty easy, got the offer essentially on the spot.

Interview
It was very easy and encouraging. They listened to what I am interested in as I described by past experience. They talked about what groups within the museums they collaborate with.

Interview
Easier than I expected - around a 20-30 minute interview with very basic interview questions about strengths, weaknesses, why I wanted to intern there, knowledge about the NMAH, etc. Fairly straightforward interview :)
