Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and I am genuinely sorry to hear that your experience with us was disappointing. We take interview feedback seriously, and there are several points you raised that we will review.
Our goal is always to put candidates at ease, so I am very sorry that your interviewers came across as silent or unfriendly. This is absolutely not the environment we want to create, and I have passed this feedback directly to our interviewing team to ensure we are maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
Regarding the programming language constraints and tests: we design our technical assessments to evaluate problem-solving and approach rather than specific syntax, applying the same standardised criteria to ensure fairness for everyone. We run code verification tests to make the exercise collaborative and interactive, and many candidates say they appreciate this approach. That said, it clearly felt like a high-pressure pass/fail scenario for you. We will review how we introduce and frame these tests so they don't negatively impact a candidate's confidence.
I am also sorry that our final feedback felt disrespectful. Our aim is to be transparent about our high hiring bar, but we know that a brief interview process can only ever capture a snapshot of a developer's total capability. We regularly have to decline excellent engineers simply because we have limited spaces and must base decisions strictly on the specific evidence gathered during the session. I apologise that this was communicated in a way that felt dismissive.
To reassure you, we are actively hiring. For our Bucharest office this year, we are looking to recruit around 10 graduate developers and 5 senior developers, alongside our summer intern intake. Because we look for a very specific alignment with our technical and collaborative style, the process does take time, which is why the listings remain open.
