I was contacted by HR to apply for this position after originally applying for the Creative Associate position. HR believed my experience and skillset best suited this role. After learning more about the opportunity, I agreed to move forward.
After 3 interview rounds with 5 different employees, all of which were amazing people, I made it to the fourth and final round with the company’s VP.
Unfortunately, it’s been 4 weeks since this interview and I still have not been acknowledged or notifed of the company going in a different direction.
During my final interview, the VP was 7 minutes late, did not thank me or apologize to me for waiting, did not turn her camera on the entire time, showed very little interest in the interview itself, and ended our interview early. I left the interview feeling disappointed, unlike my previous ones where I left feeling optimistic.
I’m sharing this because I believe this was extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate. Job seekers, such as myself, invest much time and energy into the hiring process. Moving forward, I hope some consideration, compassion, and overall interest are invested in the people who actually want to work for your company.
