I applied through other source. I interviewed at Somnio Solutions, Inc. (Austin, TX) in Mar 2017
Interview
I was approached by the talent manager and as luck would have it, I was in the market for a change. After a great phone conversation with her, I had two onsite meetings where I met with several different team members. All-in, it was fairly quick, but I liken that to an unique situation where they were "looking" for me. After checking with my references a fair offer was extended and accepted.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
"How do you (fill in the blank with pre-sale challenge), and can you give an example where you won the day with your approach? When things didn't go to script, then what happened?"
I applied via their website, heard back quickly from an internal recruiter/hr person and had an in-person interview a week later.
I had a very similar experience to someone else who has posted here, albeit a few years ago now. My interview went great, I met with two creative directors and a producer and we all seemed to get along well. They talked about some of the projects they had coming up and gave me examples of ones they'd done before. After the interview, I was told by HR person that I'd hear back in 48 hours. A couple of weeks passed and I finally heard back - they wanted me as part of their 'freelancer community'. I was made to sign forms, onboard, and told that I'd receive emails about any projects they'd want me for.
A few weeks later and I receive an email about a project they wanted to know my availability for. I told them I was available and would like to find out more. No response.
Another week later and another project brief is sent my way. I said I was available and asked to find out more. I got told the digital producer on the project would be in touch. No response.
Over a month later and they ask me if I'm still available for the first project which they emailed me about. I told them I was unavailable, asked about the other project and got no response back. No surprises there.
I understand that project requirements change, clients postpone, and things may be out of their control, but I would have greatly appreciated it if they made the effort to reply, provide updates, and generally just be better with their communication. It's almost as if they seem oblivious to it.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Nothing challenging really. Things like, what's your creative process, what software do you use, are you comfortable doing XXXX.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Somnio Solutions, Inc. in Dec 2014
Interview
With Somnio, I went through one of the most extensive interview processes I've ever taken part in. Everything started with two separate phone interviews followed by an in person 1 on 1. Once the 1 on 1 was finished I was then given steps to show my written skills by typing up an email and phone script. After my written skills were assessed I was then brought in to do a presentation. Once my first presentation was completed I was then brought back to do the same presentation to the CEO and CFO. After this I was then offered the job, to which I accepted. Although this was a long and in dept, I feel that this interview process really was able to separate the passionate and knowledgeable candidates from the ones who are not.
