Recommended by former supervisor. Contacted by phone to the beach Safety Director. Casual conversation. Met at station to perform USLA standard physical assessment. 500 meter open water swim in under 10 minutes, followed by 1.25 mile soft sand run in under 11 minutes. Extended conditional offer. Submitted to private company drug screen and criminal background check; both paid by SWFD.
