First part of the interview was a Hackerrank question (double arrayed dynamic programming). The math was a little lighter, first some questions about the Poisson distribution and what’s the one property about it that is useful, then questions about the dividing cell problem (we take a cell at t=0 and after each times it divides but we don’t know how it divides, we just now the mean and variance of the number of cells after each division) and the question was to know when will we have 0 cell in the end or an infinite amount.

Interview
Online call, only I had the camera on. Standard coding and probability questions, but the interviewer disconnected mid coding, which was weird. Also I solved the probability problem and the interviewer claimed it was incorrect. Overall a really bad experience.

16 balls with 4 special are partitioned into 4 groups each with size 4. What is the prob the special balls land in different groups?
The interviewer is nice, asked one programming that you can choose using whatever programming language you would like (python by default) and a couple of probability and statistics questions. However did not pass the interview,.
