      Difficult interview

      Application

I interviewed at Standard Chartered Bank

      Interview

It was too good. Interviewers showed their face. Not everyone is doing this. SO it was not like i am not talking alone in front of computer. felt comfortable and cleared.

      Application

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore)

      Interview

Fast and easy with steps clarified by HR every step of the interview process (5 rounds). Only downside was that the hiring manager was late by 15mins for the interview.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Standard Chartered Bank (Kuala Lumpur) in Jun 2025

      Interview

May 1st 2025 first interview. Lasted 1 hour. May 2nd 2025 second and final interview. Lasted 1h20m. After that? Dead silence. I gave them a week before contacting them again, to which they replied with "oh xxx is on leave, we will update you on May 18th ". They don't have the courtesy to tell you beforehand. It gets even worse for these guys. Comes May 18th, I gave him time to contact me but no, until 9pm I had to contact them again. Only to get another excuse, and that they will get back to me May 28th. May 28th, again I contacted them to ask if the responsible person is back, I got dead silence, left me on read. Sent a warm reminder on May 30th, same thing, left me on read. May 31st I contacted them AGAIN, and the person gave the most lousy excuse of "training session past 2 days" and that he will "call me within sometime". And you guessed it, there was no call. June 4th I contacted again, well well well, the same old left me on read. Later that day I asked for the manager's email or number to expedite this god awful process. Then he finally replied with the same "i'll call you sometime". I asked for a time, he said within 30mins, and he called me after 1h30m.... After over 1 month since my final interview, a number of time being left on read, a plethora of lousy excuses and numerous punctuality issues (including the interview). I was told to AGAIN wait until June 16th. Because they're looking at "internal candidates". To add salt to the wound, the person said "don't worry we have very strong hiring process, we will come back to you about your application". The audacity to even say that after the joke of a show they put up is creme de la creme. Chef's kiss. And again, I asked for another update 15 days later, to which they replied, the role is on hold. While this circus was happening, I've interviewed, assessed, and offered position from a much larger MNC. Thanks a lot for wasting my time, effort, energy and leaves. I really appreciate it."
