      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Standard Chartered Bank (London, England)

      Interview

Spotted the job on Linkedin and applied directly as I already knew the recruiter. 1st interview was with the hiring manager, it went well, conversational feel which was a good sign, relaxed and we went through my Cv selecting relevant experiences to the role. Also had the opportunity to ask questions around management style and culture. 2nd interview was more technical and with a senior colleague from a different team. This was very competency focused and scenario driven which was fine. At 2nd stage there was also a case study which was fine and I was able to link my answers into my interview. Overall a positive interview experience.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Standard Chartered Bank (London, England) in Dec 2016

      Interview

I had three separate interviews. Regarding content I thought the interviews went well - certainly they would not have invited me back for the 2nd and 3rd interviews had they not. However, two issues arose. Firstly, my being an immigrant was oddly highlighted during one of the interviews. This was uncomfortable, as it was not relevant in any way to the job I was interviewing for - e.g. I was not being asked to confirm my right to work in the UK. Secondly, I was told that once all candidates had been seen, they would revert to me. I never heard anything more. I did try and follow up, but to no avail. After three interviews without the professional courtesy of being advised of their decision, I can only assume that my immigrant status was a contributing factor - they have certainly given me a very wide berth since. Overall, I would say this experience was negative.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Standard Chartered Bank (New York, NY) in Feb 2010

      Interview

I was contacted by a recruiting firm by telephone. I interviewed with the hiring manager in the compliance group who seemed to think my background and skills fit her needs. I returned a couple weeks later to meet with three other members of compliance. I was asked point blank by the group head what my current base and bonus was, which I thought was a bit disconcerting. Ultimately, their budget for the position was too low for my requirements, which was communicated to me via the recruiting firm.
