      International Graduate Programmer Interview

      24 Jun 2013
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Standard Chartered Bank in Mar 2013

      Interview

did not pass the Work-reated Strengths Assessment which is difficult There is not way you can prepare. Most people fail this test. After this test, you will be arranged to phone-interview which is about 30 min. Overall, it is difficult for those fresh graduate without any experience to compete with those with 3-5 years experience

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Standard Chartered Bank (Hà Nội) in Nov 2019

      Interview

I applied in September, went through couple of online tests, followed by the Video Interview. Then I got a quick interview with a HR person, which lasts for like 3 mins. I believe it was the shortest interview I have ever attended. Nonetheless I was invited to do an interview with Country Head of Commercial Banking, which was weird as I thought I hit some red flags during the previous interview with the HR person that resulted in the Interview lasting for 3 mins. The final interview went okay, I was asked to do some introduction, career objectives and some technical questions regarding Exchange rate, Central Bank policies. However I haven't heard anything since then, and it has been 4 weeks. I'm getting anxious now, probably because I hate the bank I'm working for at the moment and I'm looking for an exit, hopefully to Standard Chartered

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) in Sept 2019

      Interview

Terrible recruitment experience and extremely disorganised HR. Applied online in mid Sep and completed the video interview in the same month. HR only got back to me in mid Dec, saying that I was selected for an HR interview which was to be conducted a few days later. However, she emailed me the day before the interview to say that the interview would be postponed to early Jan 2020, citing a delay in recruitment process by the business due to the end of year holidays as a reason. I waited till mid Jan 2020 before emailing HR to ask about this situation and if there were any updates on my application but did not get a response. Emailed them a second time about a week later and this time, HR replied saying that they will not be continuing with my application without any explanation. I had not even completed the HR interview at that time and was simply given a rejection email. Overall, interview was extremely stretched out and no forms of communication were given during the waiting period. HR is also extremely disorganised - contacting you for an interview and then rejecting you before the interview was even conducted.
