I applied online. I interviewed at Stash (New York, NY) in Mar 2021
Interview
***This is by far the best and organized interview process***
Applied through Linkedin and recruiter reached out setting time to go over the process. Had an initial screening with hiring manager. Once I cleared this I was scheduled for virtual onsite which included 4 rounds. Each round is with the data engineering team member or manager. The rounds covered my technical & architectural understanding of big data and streaming datapipelines. Once I cleared this, had a final discussion with Senior Management.
One thing which I was most impressed is that each team member whom I spoke to had a clear understanding of how the work in data engineering space is going to happen. Everyone was welcoming and answered my questions. They genuinely make you feel that you are more valued and they are interested in you.
Their recruiters are one of the best in accommodating and following up with timely updates even before I reached to them. When I started the interview process with Stash, I saw some comments around that recruiters ghosting the candidates in glassdoor and set up expectation as such. But my interview experience completely changed that. Also Stash's data engineering tech stack is also very promising, interesting and gives lot of scope.
