It's not surprising the most recent employee reviews of StoreBound are several years old. When interviewing, I got the sense of a company in complete disarray. It was openly admitted to me that some employees are applying for other jobs. This was a downsized role from a full-time position -- management is CHEAP. The pay scale was just laughable for a company based in New York City.
The interview itself was incredibly easy, but there was so little follow-up throughout the process. I was told I would receive an email from somebody who never emailed me. I then received two separate emails informing me I didn't get the position; there seems to be a real lack of communication among management. The job market is rough right now, and I can't fault a person for accepting any offer. When things get better, I really don't believe this company would be anyone's first choice of an employer.
