Though V seemed like a nice person and the screening questions for the interview were fairly straightforward, Street Child was unprofessional and disrespectful of my time throughout the interview process. I applied on 5/7/24 and was contacted for a preliminary screening interview on the 16th of July. Though I was told I would be given a decision within a week, I had to continually follow up with the recruiter and hear vague references to delays throughout the process. On the 6th of August, I was told a decision would be made in about a week, and after another follow up on the 29th of August I was told the committee was 'still reviewing my pre screening.' On the 10th of September, the review was still 'ongoing,' and not until the 7th of October (after another follow up) was I told that the position was going 'on hold' and that I should feel free to reapply if the position reopened. These delays were unprofessional, disrespectful to me and my time, and in my opinion reflect quite poorly on the company. I'd advise other applicants to watch out for this behaviour, and I certainly won't consider applying to work at Street Child again in the future.
