      Support Engineer Interview

      23 Dec 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Supabase in Aug 2025

      Interview

I made it to the first stage with the hiring manager, who was really relaxed and easygoing. He asked about my SQL proficiency, and I honestly said my experience is limited to university coursework and a few DataCamp courses. I was told that’s not sufficient and that I’d likely struggle with the technical screening. I hold a degree in computer science and have experience in SaaS technical support. That should be enough, since you can teach someone a technical skill, but you can’t teach them how to interact with others. This made me sad because I’m genuinely eager to learn and have a positive attitude, what more could you possibly want lol?

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

How proficient are you with SQL? Do you know much about row-level security (RLS)?
