I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Sur La Table (Natick, MA) in Nov 2017
Interview
In person was very brief, had to do an online interview/hiring process which took 2 hours. I was paid for this time. Also had to allow for a background check, I was allowed to start working while this was being processed.

Question 1
Interview was very brief, neutral experience. Manager was very nice and easy to talk to. Interview was not store specific. He basically asked my availability and when I could start.
Super quick and easy! All management levels in the store location were amazing and allowed you to feel comfortable! Definitely helps if you have some knowledge regarding brands and cooking to help customers.

Question 1
Would I be interested in growing within the company?
The interview is mostly about being yourself and seeing if you want to be part of a foodie minded team of part time co-workers. This group is like friends who work together and all have a common hobby. Just go in and be your genuine self, honest about your experience and availableity and see if what they offer matches what you need.
Lengthy and detailed they were trying to see if I was a good fit. I really wanted to work there but it was only to be closing the store because they were liquidating certain store locations in the east coast
