Interview
When I applied TD Bank got back to me relatively quickly. I think I applied and then two days later I got contacted by the HR Manager. We did a brief phone interview and she set me up with an in person interview at a location two days later. I attended and everything went smoothly. It was very comfortable and easy going and the Branch Manager was very sweet. I couldn't land an offer at this location because they were looking for someone full-time and I could only offer part-time work. The next week I was contacted by the HR Manager again and she set up another interview for me at a different location. This location was looking for part-time tellers and the Branch Manager and I really hit it off, we laughed uncontrollably within the first few minutes of the interview. Unfortunately I don't think I fit the needs of the bank and what they were looking for. Also they do ask you to fill out some paperwork for a background check, and they also check your credit score.
So far in the first stages of the hiring process. Submitted application last week and within days got a message from the hiring manager (I suspect) asking for availability for a 30min video interview. A bit informal of an approach as I usually get reached out via email or phone call with more instruction on what to expect.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TD (Gaithersburg, MD) in Mar 2026
Interview
I applied online and got an online interview with the district manager. Next, I had an interview at the specific location. I was not told it was a panel interview and the 3 managers were very unprofessional. They asked inappropriate questions, changed the question after my response, and it was overall a very toxic/humiliating one hour interview.
Was very straightforward, make sure to remain calm. Answer confidently and be honest. Try to know some fun facts about the company; they love it when you are knowledgeable and know about where you want to work. It shows that you are interested and that it's not just another job.
