I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at TEKsystems (San Diego, CA) in May 2016
Interview
I was contacted by a recent hire and alumnae from my university. She prepped me on the phone multiple times in very complete conversations. Because an inside professional had reached out to me, I was allowed to skip over the preliminary HR phone call, and was forwarded to an in-person interview with an account executive. I had a phone call with the scheduling admin, and then came into the office to meet the account exec and one employee below him. It was a very thorough interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What was the hardest thing you ever did? How did you learn from it? Where do you see yourself in five years? What do you think about sales?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at TEKsystems (Albany, NY) in Aug 2025
Interview
Very transparent, gave great feedback, genuine conversation. I looked forward to all of my interviews and got to talk to a plethora of people within the company and prospective team.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at TEKsystems (Falls Church, VA) in Jul 2022
Interview
I was approached by a recruiter via Handshake. I had one initial call with her, then another recruiter, then the office manager, then came in for a half day. Four interviews total and where I was in frequent contact with the second interviewer. A week after my half day in the office they told me they found someone better suited. Everyone was really nice but I was disappointed with how the process was handled after a lot of time was invested in the process.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at TEKsystems (Grand Rapids, MI)
Interview
This opportunity was initially not on my radar as my experience lies in fields far from recruiting, however, a current employee urged me to apply during my search for new opportunities so I saw no issue. The process is relatively straightforward but at times was muddied by a lack of communication between employees resulting in conversations about the role coming to me via text and email from different individuals unaware of the other. These folks were pleasant and nice to work with as we scheduled an initial interview over Microsoft Teams with the DBO. The interview was somewhat disconcerting however as it focused not on what I brought to the table professionally but rather on my personal background, with a great deal of the interview being spent answering questions about my childhood. The DBO was happy to answer any questions I had at the end, but I was left uncomfortable by the encounter. In the future, I would suggest the organization focus primarily on keeping the interview professional (tell me about this role and how it applies, what experience do you have that is relevant, etc.) and not veering into excessive personal territory. I was further dishearted by the statement that this particular role, according to my interviewer, would take around three years for an employee to get a full feeling/foundation for which does not match with my career experience or expectations with my professional and academic background. I wish Tek and their team the best.
