Thank you for taking the time to share this, and I'm sorry the process didn't reflect the experience we want candidates to have. Your feedback is fair, and I want to address it directly rather than brush past it.
You're right that there was confusion about which role was being discussed during the on-site — that's on us, and not something a candidate should have to navigate. I also hear you on the take-home assignment; it wasn't well-matched to the seniority of the role, and that's worth us revisiting. And the pace between steps was slower than it should have been, especially given how much time you put into the process on your end.
The vague language in the rejection note wasn't meant to be dismissive, but I understand how it reads that way after a process like this, and you deserved more clarity than that.
I'll be raising this internally so we can tighten up the role alignment, the technical assessment, and our turnaround times. I appreciate you giving us this feedback directly rather than just walking away — it's genuinely useful, and I'm sorry it came at the cost of your time.
