I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Ten Thousand Coffees (Toronto, ON) in Jan 2023
Interview
First, there's a 45 minute chat with the tech recruiter to see if you want to continue the application process with 10 thousand coffees. If you want to continue, there's a mini-coding exercise that takes around 2-3 hours. They evaluate your submission and if they want to continue with you, you're brought to meet with some of the software engineering team. You're then given a take-home exercise that'll take 10-15 hours to do. You will present your solution to their team. The final step is meeting with their CTO about the internship and potentially finalize the offer. this process is expected to take 4-5 weeks.

Question 1
What do you know about 10 thousand coffees? Why do you want to work here? What was it like at your previous job? Is there anything you'd like to know about 10 thousand coffees?
Many 30 minute interviews, sometimes with the same person, who begins with "I have a hard stop in 30 minutes". Lots of general questions but they don't have answers to specific questions. Generally, wasted my time and simply ghosted them, because of the merry go round of further emails, scheduled then cancelled appointments. Seems chaotic and unclear what the business model is.
