I applied through other source. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Terra Universal (Fullerton, CA) in Aug 2014
Interview
The company contacted me via email after finding my resume on Monster. I called back and we scheduled a phone interview. The interviewer asked me several questions about my background, availability, and then asked me to list 3 strengths, 3 weaknesses, and 4 things that I look for in a job. I was then asked to come in for an in-person interview, where I filled out the application form and sat in a room with the interviewer. He gave me one of the company's old products to analyse and asked me if I could discern what it did, where it would be used, and what it might be called. Then he asked me to suggest ways to improve the product. I was then put in front of a workstation and given 15 minutes to create a 3D model in Solidworks of a drawing they gave me, then another 15 minutes to modify an existing drawing (double the length of a product). A second interviewer then came out to ask me about my background and experience. The interview ended on a good note, but I was not given an offer or any response after this.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I was asked to pretend I was on the line as technical support for a customer and told to solve a problem involving one of their products (a cleanroom hood). The hood was blowing noxious chemicals in the direction of the operator and I had to figure out what the issue was and how to solve it using only the information given by the operator.

Interview
Brief phone call asking about previous experience and their own company’s products. Second stage is an in person interview with the same person you talked to on the phone and the last phone call is from the actual manager asking about your professional goals.
