I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Texas Roadhouse (Seaford, DE) in Mar 2012
Interview
You get 1:1 interviews with each of the managers (Front of House, Back of House, and General Manager). Basically, if you get past one of the managers and on to the next, you're probably going to be hired. They won't bother with you if they don't think you're a good match. Mine ended up being spread over two weeks, seeing as the General Manager was at a training conference and I had to wait a week before my next interview. They asked basic questions (what have you been doing recently, what do you like to do, how would you describe yourself, etc.) and asked about my availability.
In person with multiple people being interviewed at the same time as you, usually starts with the manager and if they like you, they would introduce you and the owner of the restaurant will interview you and give you the job on the spot.
Easy and straightforward. Talk about your experience and why you want to work there. Hired me on spot and organized my orientation days. Worked with my schedule and accept seasonal work.
