I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at The App Experts (UK) (London, England) in Oct 2021
Interview
1. Random phone call from UK staff
- from a mobile number
- presenting the opportunity
2. A questionable easy online technical test:
- basic Java theory questions
- basic conditionals
- little experience required for this test
- finished in 7 min out of total of 70 min
3. Recorded Skype interview with UK staff:
- reads terms and conditions
- advises you to answer “yes” if you are going to be asked to do something in the following interview
3. Recorder Skype interview with US staff:
- talking about terms and conditions
- asking about background , studies, work experience, certificates
- asking if you are comfortable in adding “borrowed” projects on your CV to reach the min 5 years experience
Special notes:
- the US interviewer was keep trying to justify the need of misleading information to be added on my CV to better advertise myself, following by re-requesting my approval of doing so, meanwhile being recorded.
- I was concerned over the productivity over a client’s project that may require the CV-related falsely advertised experience, until reading a Glassdoor reviewing where is stated that if you get a project canceled (which is highly expected when landing on projects requiring 5 years of experience and you have none) you can be dismissed and request to pay the £16k for the training.
They should be called TheScamExperts, as they are recording consultants permission to advertise fraudulent CV’s to companies which will benefit of graduate level developers at the price of senior developers.
You are the one requested to lie to obtain the project as a contractor, and then they enforce their contract with you for the gain, however requesting you to speak of them as your payroll company.
In a nutshell, go and lie companies on your own liability so we get the money and we will give you some to. They must be on amphetamine or something.
TheScamExp.. pardon, TheAppExperts (theappexperts.co.uk) is presumably an UK based company which is linked (as I have seen the email addresses extensions) to a company called Enhaceit (enhaceit.com) which seems to provide the software products and services at a high class level. Not for long though 😈
Interview questions [3]
Question 1
Interviewer: Do you agree to add borrowed projects from other consultants to reach your 5 years of experience on your CV?
I understand, your concerned, however this is necessary so you can get to the interviews and get the projects. You must know that every project that will be added will he discussed through with your supervisor. How do you feel now about adding additional experience on you CV?
Sure. That’s what’s the training for. We will teach you how to build applications before advertising you on the market. Now how do you feel about adding more experience to your CV to meet 5 years of required experience?
The interviewer kept saying that I will be fined 60K if I choose to leave the job before the end of the contract (2 years). That seemed scary. Not even sure if it is legal.
