It was straightforward as previous posts have suggested. It began with a phone screening, followed by a Zoom conversation with an individual on the Sales team, a follow-up Zoom chat, and culminated with an in-person interview with a manager, fellow Ad Ops Analyst, and the individual from Zoom. I appreciated the candor of these conversations, the approachability of the team, and I would have had a very enjoyable experience even though I was not selected for the offer. The only disappointing aspect was that I was told, upon my exit of the in-person interview, there was a "good chance I was in." Exact words from one of the individuals involved in the hiring of this position. Two weeks later, I was told they were “moving forward with other candidates.” While I knew those words were not an official offer and that they had to resume their due diligence with other candidates, it certainly inflated my perceived prospects and, in light of this, to be informed I was not selected was disappointing and misleading to say the least. Not something I would say to someone unless there was a degree of certainty or integrity behind those words.
