The interview was sitting down with the owner, talking about the restaurant and why he is running it. We talked about my previous jobs and what made me want to work at the restaurant. He also asked what made me leave my last job, and about my availability around school. It mostly followed the STAR model so nothing particularly unexpected. After that I was introduced to some of the staff and had the opportunity to talk to them for a few minutes about their experiences.

Interview
Pretty straightforward, and it was a very unique, different interview. He really wanted to know me, and not just if I could lift a plate or make a drink. That's descriptive of the work culture too, you are not treated as just a headcount here, you are an individual, with strengths, weaknesses, and that's great!
