I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at ThoughtSpot (Palo Alto, CA) in Jun 2016
Interview
The interview took about 2 weeks. The first conversation was on the phone with the the hiring manager who was very professional, friendly and knowledgable. The second round was with the product person who was unprepared and disengaged. It was a rather awkward conversation and it was hard to tell whether the interviewer agreed or disagreed with my comments. The questions asked were off - they were not around BI market trends and solutions, instead the interviewer asked me about a specific product I managed in my previous job, which he had very little knowledge with, and immediately lost interest once he figured out it was not something he was familiar with. It was a rather unprofessional experience.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ThoughtSpot in Oct 2020
Interview
Straight forward panel interview with other senior marketers, including the CMO. The process was fast and I heard back from the recruiting team and hiring manager within 2 weeks of the initial interview.

What are some recent marketing campaigns you admire?
I applied online. I interviewed at ThoughtSpot (Palo Alto, CA) in Jul 2017
Interview
Initial phone screen with Product Manager on behalf of CMO. Then chatted with CMO. Conversation went well and was asked to come for onsite interviews. Met with CMO + 3 members of his team. One of the interviewers kept telling me how cool my current job was and openly admitted that she had not reviewed my resume. After 2.5 hours of conversations, was told by CMO a decision would be made within the next week. Followed up a week later and was told a decision would be made in another week. After that point, radio silence from CMO after 2 more attempts to get feedback/closure on the process. Still no response 3 months later.
Extremely disrespectful process - the least the company could do was let me know they had chosen another candidate. Interviewing is extremely time consuming - it's arrogant of a company to believe they are exempt from following basic levels of respect towards their candidates.
