I just had HR person interview me. She asked if I had used the app before, asked why I was interested in the company and asked about my work experience.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at TikTok (Mountain View, CA) in Feb 2023
Interview
Two 30-min interviews, but then the role was filled so I didn't get to finish the interview process. It would have been more considerate to let me know that they were far along in the process with other candidates so I wouldn't have invested so much time to studying.
I applied online. I interviewed at TikTok in Jul 2020
Interview
Spoke with hiring manager first (video call), then several members of the team over the course of a couple of months. Then was asked to re-interview with a member of the team, somewhat inexplicably.
After Trump "banned" TikTok, I was told the role was put on indefinite hold and not given a definitive answer yes or no as to whether or not I was still in consideration. I've just seen the role re-listed on LinkedIn, so that seems to answer that. Would've appreciated a clearer answer directly from the team, especially after months of back and forth and 5+ 1:1 interviews.
